At Ubicloud, we are excited to announce the launch of our new Premium Github Runners. We designed it for teams demanding top-tier performance in their CI/CD pipelines. Premium Runners come with fast gaming CPUs, increased cache storage and seamless integration.

The Benefits of Going Premium

  • Blazing-Fast Performance: Premium runners are based on blazing fast AMD Ryzen CPUs. Premium runner instances perform around 40% faster for the same CPU heavy workflow on average. You can see the improvement in runtime in the following graphs
  • 100GB of Free Cache Storage: GitHub provides a free cache storage of 10GB. Ubicloud Standard Runners provide you with 30GBs. With Premium Runners, we are expanding it even further. Premium runners now come with 100GB of cache storage. This is a tenfold increase that allows for faster dependency resolution. This way we provide the best runners for cache heavy workloads out there.
  • 5x Lower Cost: A 2 vCPU Ubicloud Premium Runner costs $0.0016 per minute. It is five times cheaper than GitHub's standard rate of $0.0080 per minute.
  • Effortless Activation: Upgrading is seamless. There's no need to edit your workflow YAML files. You can activate Premium Runners with a single toggle in your Ubicloud dashboard. Your existing workflows will immediately start benefiting from increased performance.

The initial response to Premium Runners has been incredibly positive. We had several users reaching out to share their experiences, here's one example:

This real-world impact underscores our goal for this new tier. Premium runners deliver faster builds, more cache storage, and lower costs through a simple toggle. You can learn more about Premium Runners in our documentation
